Majority of Latvian residents believe Latvia has benefited from EU – Eurobarometer

RIGA – The majority or 70 percent of Latvian residents believe the country has benefited from the EU membership, according to the latest Eurobarometer survey.

23 percent respondents that Latvia’s EU membership has not brought any benefit, while 7 percent did not have any particular opinion on the matter.

The majority or 67 percent of EU residents believe that their country has benefited from the EU membership, which is the highest indicators since 1983. In Estonia 86 percent of resident and in Lithuania 90 percent of respondents see benefit from the EU membership.
