RIGA - 30 venues have been lined up in Riga for this summer's Nationwide Song and Dance Festival, the festival's organizers inform.
Concerts, performances and events will be held at the Mezaparks grand stage, Skonto Stadium, Daugava Stadium, Arena Riga, University of Latvia's Main Hall, Daile Theater, the Ethnographic Open Air Museum, Palladium Concert Venue, the Great and Small Guild Halls, Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theater, VEF Palace of Culture, Riga Latvian Society Building, the Riga Art Space, as well as Riga Cathedral.
Other outdoor venues include Freedom Monument square, Esplanade, Kronvalds Park, Vermanes Park, as well as Viesturdarzs Park.
Various Riga churches will also host events, and several downtown Riga streets will be closed off and turned into pedestrian areas.
The XXVI Nationwide Song and Dance Festival will be held from June 30 to July 8 in Riga.
